Anthony Buccat, 3/11/2020: Sautrun Rings's Track's Upgrade PM

So my day started is That first I prepared my tools for the robot I need to work on of the tracks for the new upgrade and my partener was working on the arm for us kinda helping us out for 1 hours and 50 mins tops plus with the break time as 10 mins. then work on the AI club for  end of time before I start working on the trackes for like 30 mins when Im done.

Lupe Castillo-PM-1hr 30min-Open Lab: New and improved!

I worked on a new claw for the robot. I was going to do a human hand type of claw, but I realized that would be too complicated for the amount of time that we have. So instead I decided to make a cubic like claw that covers more area of the cube. I need to make it a bit curved so that it fits the cube's shape. I also need to make sure it is able to fit on the already existing claw parts. I'm really excited for this claw, and I'm really hoping that it will eliminate the looseness of the previous claw.

Lupe-PM-1hr-Open Lab: Progress

So i came up with a new design for the claw because i realized that the claw it has right now does not close all the way which is what causes the grip to be loose. I'm thinking to have a human hand design with fingers where it won't need to fully close and it won't be loose.

Anthony Buccat/Friday 28, 2020/ PM CLASS

Today I work with kyle on the Al that makes images that think which is the food is very fresh or very bad that been tell a apart then we just seach some images that we got ideas in mind that work on two hours and 42 mins then I work on the robot base while Lupez just doing her own thing without any help like always then I have a problem that can find the tools I need to just goes to my laptop to seach some new robots idea and planes that I work on our rest our lasting mins.

Anthony Buccat: Saturn's Rings VEX Wheel remodel

So right now I spent on the time even break time to work on the right side of the tracks but it have a small problem spinning smoothly and feels like rusty and hope the Teacher will help us but he busy.

Lupe-PM-1 hour-Open Lab:Slow Progress

So today I tried to fix the droop of the arm, and the loose grip of the claw. I was testing to see if it was a mechanical problem, so I tightened all the bolts that might seem a bit loose. That didn't help in the slightest, I even looked at the gears to see if they were misplaced or something, but everything seems alright. I am assuming that it is a electrical thing, so I will be testing the motors and looking at the wiring the next time we work on it. I will also see about new designs for the claw to see which one has a better grip and more efficient.

PM-Lupe-1hr30min-Robot Club: Improvements

Today is the first day we started working on our robot since the Regional competition. We have several ideas on how to make our robot better. For today we want to focus on fixing the base. We want to rearrange things so that we have a better balance, and not tip over like it did in the competition. We want to find a better place for our batteries so that it isn't just mounted to the back. Also, we want to try to get rid of the second battery, but if we can't then we just want a better place to put it in. We have to take down the arm and technically start from scratch so that we can have a clear canvas. We are only going to work on the base today, tomorrow, and Monday so that we are not hung over it. The end date is not set in stone of course, but just a date to push us to finish it quick. I spent my time doing research on how to fix our tracks and how to make an extendable arm. I could not find anything for the arm so I will ask my boyfriend who is a part of the robotics team at our home school and ask our instructor. Anthony was doing all the hardware things. It's looking good for us right now. (I also researched track patterns).

Anthony Buccat: What Our Next Move

So now were going to states robot tourtament then we need ideas to improve our robot to be more better that one we used that we did other day then fix some flaws our robots
First Idea is about balance our robot because is have a hard time climbing up the ram like falling back down but thanks for the arm to support it back up as a helper.
Then 2nd Plan is what the programs need and what senors that we can add that can be easier to move? or know our space like instead moving our camera then we have like our surrounding sense or I called it "Aura Focus"
Lastly is about the power of our motor that we need more speed on the tracks or more power of the arm or just balance?

Lupe-PM-Robot Club-More progress...a bit slow

It is a stressful time for us because we didn't work hard enough last semester so we are fixing everything now. We are redoing a few things we had already fixed prior to today. It is a bit frustrating, but I know that we will be able to make it work. We are working on the tracks and how the will work with the wheels, we are working on the balance and stability of the robot and other things. Anthony is doing a good job staying after school when he can to continue to work on the robot.

Lupe-PM-30min-Open Lab: More progress!!

Anthony and I worked on the height and placement on the arm posts. We were figuring out how far the two posts have to be and how high. We used to have them too far apart and the stick would not be able to reach far enough to secure the arm. i also believe that Anthony worked on the remote control and the battery.

Lupe-PM-1 hour-Open Lab: Bleh

We kind of just did the same thing, but I came up with an idea for the camera placement. By the time we got the battery stuff for the camera I forgot the idea...wait never mind I remember it. I think it is too late now for it, but what I was thinking is we could have it on a separate bar and it will be above the arm and it would be able to look down. We discussed other things about the robot like speed and control.

Lupe-PM-30min-Open Lab: Progress!!

Today Anthony worked on fixing the wheel so that all the gears turn which will give us a speed boost. I worked on the arm and making it flow easier and making sure we will be able to reach the cube when it is low and high. We made some good progress today.
