PM-Lupe-1hr30min-Robot Club: Improvements

Today is the first day we started working on our robot since the Regional competition. We have several ideas on how to make our robot better. For today we want to focus on fixing the base. We want to rearrange things so that we have a better balance, and not tip over like it did in the competition. We want to find a better place for our batteries so that it isn't just mounted to the back. Also, we want to try to get rid of the second battery, but if we can't then we just want a better place to put it in. We have to take down the arm and technically start from scratch so that we can have a clear canvas. We are only going to work on the base today, tomorrow, and Monday so that we are not hung over it. The end date is not set in stone of course, but just a date to push us to finish it quick. I spent my time doing research on how to fix our tracks and how to make an extendable arm. I could not find anything for the arm so I will ask my boyfriend who is a part of the robotics team at our home school and ask our instructor. Anthony was doing all the hardware things. It's looking good for us right now. (I also researched track patterns).

Anthony Buccat: What Our Next Move

So now were going to states robot tourtament then we need ideas to improve our robot to be more better that one we used that we did other day then fix some flaws our robots
First Idea is about balance our robot because is have a hard time climbing up the ram like falling back down but thanks for the arm to support it back up as a helper.
Then 2nd Plan is what the programs need and what senors that we can add that can be easier to move? or know our space like instead moving our camera then we have like our surrounding sense or I called it "Aura Focus"
Lastly is about the power of our motor that we need more speed on the tracks or more power of the arm or just balance?

Lupe-PM-Robot Club-More progress...a bit slow

It is a stressful time for us because we didn't work hard enough last semester so we are fixing everything now. We are redoing a few things we had already fixed prior to today. It is a bit frustrating, but I know that we will be able to make it work. We are working on the tracks and how the will work with the wheels, we are working on the balance and stability of the robot and other things. Anthony is doing a good job staying after school when he can to continue to work on the robot.

Lupe-PM-30min-Open Lab: More progress!!

Anthony and I worked on the height and placement on the arm posts. We were figuring out how far the two posts have to be and how high. We used to have them too far apart and the stick would not be able to reach far enough to secure the arm. i also believe that Anthony worked on the remote control and the battery.

Lupe-PM-1 hour-Open Lab: Bleh

We kind of just did the same thing, but I came up with an idea for the camera placement. By the time we got the battery stuff for the camera I forgot the idea...wait never mind I remember it. I think it is too late now for it, but what I was thinking is we could have it on a separate bar and it will be above the arm and it would be able to look down. We discussed other things about the robot like speed and control.

Lupe-PM-30min-Open Lab: Progress!!

Today Anthony worked on fixing the wheel so that all the gears turn which will give us a speed boost. I worked on the arm and making it flow easier and making sure we will be able to reach the cube when it is low and high. We made some good progress today.
